Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions
If you are on regular medicines you may be able to obtain a repeat prescription without seeing the doctor each time. Our repeat prescription system is computerised and you will be given a computer print-out which you keep safe. When you need a repeat prescription, bring your print-out to the surgery with the items you need ticked off and drop it in the prescription box in the main hall. We will post your prescription to you if you enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHECK THE BOTTOM OF YOUR PRESCRIPTION FOR YOUR MEDICATION REVIEW DATE. We are unable to provide you with your repeat prescription until you have had this necessary review with a GP.
You can also fax your ticked printout to 01952 620 209.
We endeavour to process your prescriptions as soon as possible. Please give us 48 hours (2 working days) to process your prescription, which can be collected at reception Monday to Friday after 2:30pm. If the prescription is brought in on a Friday it will not be ready for collection until the Tuesday afternoon of the following week.
Help us to help youDue to increased administration activity on a Monday, can we request prescriptions are ordered Tuesday to Friday and NOT on Mondays. This will help to ensure there are no delays and your prescriptions are available for collection on time. Thank you for your co-operation. |
Please also bear in mind that Bank Holidays will delay the processing of your prescription..
Your local pharmacy may offer a prescription collection service, which you may find beneficial. Please contact them directly to check whether they offer this service.
